Audit of projects co-financed by international organizations
In the case of most of the big projects co-financed by international organizations (such as the European Union and International Visegrad Fund) an independent auditor has to certify that funds are being spent in accordance with national and international regulations.
Regardless of the source of the financing, typical audit includes verification if the spending is in line with the donator’s will. It is also checked if spending meets the budget, the schedule and approved rules of making expenses. A key point is also verifying if substantial goals of the project are met.
